This is my blessing page which is dedicated to my son Joshua who was born with Kabuki Syndrome. There are approxiamtely 500 diagnosed cases of this syndrome world wide which in my books makes my son extra special.
Joshua was born with many difficulties and birth deffects which include a cyst on his brain, a hole in his heart, an enlarged artery to his heart, a cleft soft palatte, bladder tissue herniated in his umbilicus( patent urecus ) an imperforated anus, a twisted bowel, hypertonia in his legs and hopotonia throughout his whole muscular structure, a small deffect of the T-11 vertebrea,only one kidney , strabismus and left occular exotropia among other things.He required several surgeries to date , many being in his first days and weeks of life which were a blessing but he has also received blessings of a different kind...a miraculous kind. When only weeks old after two days of prayer, the cyst on Joshua's brain dissapeared. While I was pregnant, Joshua's singular kidney was not functioning correctly causing my amniotic fluid to be dangerously low. After receiving prayer, his kidney began to function and the fluid was abundant. When tested at a follow up visit at Toronto Hospital for Sick Children , it was discovered that Joshua had received yet another miracle. His heart defects had dissappeared( healed ). Joshua's most recent healing has been on his eyes. He initially required a +3.00 prescription which I was told would never change. In the course of the past few years, Joshua has changed from a +3.00 to a +2.50 to a +2.00 and most recently to a +1.00.Praise God!!!
We were initially told that there was a chance that Joshua would never walk. He now runs. Joshua has over come so many obstacles including infantile annorexia causing him to be fed by NG tube his first year of life. Though still a picky eater...he eats on his own and is thriving. This little guy has quite a testimony and I could not build this web site without dedicating a page to him and giving God the glory for all these blessings including the one that gave us his little sister Madison who has been a blessing to Joshua in the form of a sister, a best friend and a teacher.
This page is also dedicated to little Cassandra Akers shown in the second portrait on this page , also affected by kabuki syndrome who went home to God earlier than this world would have prefered, to Oscar who was also taken from this world due to heart issues connected with Kabuki syndrome and lastly and most recently to Megan Vavrus who passed away from heart and lung complications related to Kabuki Syndrome at age 21. May God watch over these precious souls.

His purpose so flawless and perfect.

He formed you perfectly in His sight.
He knows every strand of hair on your head.
He knows the path you will choose before you choose it…..
though He will be patient every time you stray away from his protection.
He will give you freedom to choose and guidance to choose wizely.
He will forgive you when you come to Him humble from your errors.
He will open his arms to you when you need a safe place to fall.
God will be your refuge.
He will be your teacher.
He will be your deliverer.
He will be your friend.
I look into the future …
To each and every future memory.
I see you my son as if I have been given a vision.
I see you leading souls to Christ and teaching of His love.
I see you singing praises to His name.
I see you lifting your hands in worship.
I see you raising up a family of your own in His love ( if that be His will )
I see you sharing a testimony like no other…
telling of healing and joy and love…
wonderous miracles having taken place for His glory.
I pray this comes to pass.
I pray you always remain His according to His Word.
I pray you , my son , are always a man of God.
